This tutorial is my own design and any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
It was created in Paint Shop Pro 8
Inspired by the poem entitled "Autumn Within" By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Read the full poem HERE

You will need the following to complete this tutorial:

Autumn Leaves.tub

The above can be downloaded HERE

Download and extract to a file on your computer.
Place Autumn Leaves.tub in your PSP tubes folder.
Open the rest in PSP and minimise.

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

Open Template No.79.
Window >> Duplicate
Close original.

STEP 2

Image >> Canvas Size

Minimize.

STEP 3

Maximise tube jcw_prettymaiden.psp and select four colours from it
I selected #FCF3ED (cream), #B8AC8B (light green), #8D866C (dark green) and #9C6441 (brown)

STEP 4

Maximise your working canvas (the duplicate copy of the template).
In the Layers Palette delete the DBA layer.

STEP 5

Highlight the CIRCLE layer and hide all the other layers

In the Materials Palette load Foreground with Dark Green #8D866C

With the Magic Wand

Magic Wand

Select the circle
Floodfill circle with Foreground colour

Effects >> Plug Ins >> Penta.com >> Dot and Cross

Deselect

STEP 6

Open and highlight SHAPE 4 layer.

In the Materials Palette Load Foregound with Brown #9C6441
With the Magic Wand same settings as in STEP 5
Select the rectangle
Floodfill rectangle with Foreground colour

Effects >> Plug Ins >> Penta.com >> Dot and Cross
Same settings as in STEP 5

Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow

Repeat Drop Shadow changing the Vertical and Horizontal Offsets to minus 2 (-2)
Deselect

STEP 7

Open and highlight SHAPE 3 layer

With the Magic Wand same settings as in STEP 5
Select the rectangle
Floodfill rectangle with Foreground colour (Brown #9C6441)

Effects >> Plug Ins >> Penta.com >> Dot and Cross
Same settings as in STEP 5

Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
Same settings as in STEP 6

Deselect

STEP 8

Open and highlight SHAPE 2 layer

In the Materials Palette load Foreground with Light Green #B8AC8B
With the Magic Wand same settings as in STEP 5
Select the rectangle
Floodfill rectangle with Foreground colour

Effects >> Plug Ins >> Penta.com >> Dot and Cross
Same settings as in STEP 5

Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
Same settings as in STEP 6
Deselect

STEP 9

Open and highlight SHAPE 1 layer

In the Materials Palette Load Foreground with Cream #FCF3ED
With the Magic Wand same settings as in STEP 5
Select the square
Floodfill square with Foreground colour
Deselect

STEP 10

Open and highlight FRAME layer

In the Materials Palette load Foreground with Light Green #B8AC8B
With the Magic Wand same settings as in STEP 5
Select the frame
Floodfill frame with Foreground colour

Deselect

STEP 11

Layers >> New Raster Layer
Selection Tool >> Custom Selection

Flood fill selection with Foreground colour (Light Green #B8AC8B)

Effects >> Plug Ins >> Penta.com >> Dot and Cross
Same settings as in STEP 5

Selections >> Select None

Layers >> Merge >> Merge Down

Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow
Same settings as in STEP 6

STEP 13

Maximise tube jcw_prettymaiden.psp
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Paste >> Paste as New Layer
Image >> Resize 85%
Resize All Layers unchecked
Adjust >> Sharpness >> Sharpen

With the Move Tool re-position as below

Effects >> 3D Effects >> Drop Shadow



STEP 14

Maximise yp_wordart_autumn_within.psp
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Paste >> Paste as New Layer
With the Move Tool position as below

Effects >> Plug Ins >> Eye Candy 4000 >> Corona

STEP 15

Maximise yp-wordart-autumn2
Edit >> Copy
Edit >> Paste >> Paste as New Layer
With the Move Tool position as below

Same settings as in STEP 14

STEP 16

Layers >> New Raster Layer
In the Materials Palette load Foreground with White #FFFFFF
Flood fill layer with Foreground colour
Layers >> Arrange >> Send to Bottom

Layers >> New Raster Layer
In the Materials palette load Foreground with Brown #9C6441
Flood fill layer with Foreground colour
Layers >> New Mask Layer >> From Image
Select Mask 190 from the drop down list

Layers >> Merge >> Merge Group
In the Layer Palette lower opacity to 56%

STEP 17

Layers >> New Raster Layer
Make sure it is highlighted
Select the Picture Tube Tool
Select the Autumn Leaves tube

Place leaves around the edge of the circle
You can undo any your not happy with
Lower the opacity of this layer to 44%

STEP 18

Layers >> New Raster Layer
Add your name and/or watermark
Layers >> Merge >> Merge All Flatten
Resize if desired.
Save as a jpg and we're done.
